WORKSHOPS
August 28-29th, 2024
10am-2pm
$190pp (max 10)
$75 deposit due at registration
While Priscilla is known for her oil and watercolor paintings, she also has extensive experience with soft/chalk (not oil) pastels. In the past, she took several awards up to the national level for her pastel work. Let her share her wealth of knowledge and experience with you. Pastel is a forgiving medium. It can be easily blended and lifted, does not require drying time, and the color of the stick is the color you see on the paper.

The first day will be spent in the studio learning about how to handle this fun medium; combine it with other materials you already know and love; and review framing and other presentation options.

On the second day, we will venture into the field to apply our new knowledge and skills. Pastel can work up quickly, and most people will have a nearly completed painting by the end of the day.

An additional $10 material fee will be due on Day 1 to cover the cost of pastel paper/board and access to the Studio's set of hard pastels (please be prepared with cash for the fee). Students will need to bring their own set of soft pastels and a few additional supplies as reflected on the attached Materials List.
