BREAD BASKET: FLAT & ROUND

In this workshop, you learn the fundamentals of weaving flat reed baskets while integrating round reed accents. You will make an oval breadbasket (approx. 4" tall and 9 ½“ wide) using the following basic techniques: closed base; open base, pairing, continuous weave, 3 rod arrow, start and stop weave, 2-way rim lashing. Choose a contrasting color from assorted options to personalize your basket. The workshop is a full-day program (8 hours) and is limited to 6 students so that everyone receives individual attention. All materials and tools provided. What a great space to explore a new creative pursuit in. This workshop challenges your weaving skills, combining round and flat reed, for a higher level weaving experience.
We recommend some previous experience for this workshop, whether you previously completed the Bee's Beginning Basket Weaving workshop or have other experience. If you're comfortable, we're comfortable. We keep these workshops small and intimate so you can get the help you need; you will walk out with a finished basket, no matter what.
